Movie #2052 "Sugar Plum Twist" (Hallmark) This is one of the many Hallmark films that I wouldn't mind owning -- what fun it was to watch and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ONE. Why? It's so different, deals with diversity, and it is very creative ---- in that way, it stands out among the others. Classical dancing, esp. Ballet, has been and continues to be THE dance that is most revered, and esp. at Christmas time with the "Nutcracker" etc. Well, while a former ballerina is learning the ropes at choreographing the said show, she comes across a salsa teacher in the community who is a great dancer, in her opinion. They don't hire her for their company, but the former ballerina takes this young girl under her wing and works with her --- as she does this, she discovers that if you fused ballet with salsa, you could get a sugar plum twist! That is such a cool idea, and I loved the idea! the dancing in this one was terrific. I'd give it 5 out of 5.
THIS ONE IS BEING SHOWN AGAIN TOMORROW (DECEMBER 30) ON HALLMARK AT 11 A.M. TO 1 P.M.
