Movie #2036 ........................."A Very Merry Bride" (Hallmark)

Movie #2036 "A Very Merry Bride" Hallmark - It is not unusual to build a christmas movie around a wedding --- then there is automatic stage business, which I enjoy --- I've always liked weddings.  And all that stuff is here --- the difference is a manufactured idea that the sister of the groom has a birthday at christmas when the brother and his fiancĂ© have chosen to be wedded......so the way the best man who always had a crush on the sister worms his way back in (they were childhood friends)  is to remember it is her birthday and to keep planning things to do besides the wedding planning --- so this gets kind of busy, what with her  birthday activities AND the  wedding activities AND the  Christmas activities!  Whew!  To top all of that, both the guy and girl are kind of quiet people --- so that makes the film stand out a bit --- they both make their parts their own; they don't overact, and  they help make the story believable --- it is interesting to see a couple really listen to each other ,and as she says, he "sees" her and you can't beat that kind of love story.  I liked it.  4 out of 5.

P.S.  watch until the very end --- the last joke is the best.
