Movie #3007 "My Year of Dicks" (theatre) Someone must have learned a lesson with the animated shorts last year because before this film was offered to the audience, the theatre had a brief intermission to let kids leave the theatre ---it was obvious (what? not from the title?) to everyone that only adults should watch this one (and it was last in the bunch). Good idea, theatre owners. So this one is not an animated kiddies film, but it had its moments of humor and lessons in it. I will never ever forget the scene with this young girl's conversation with her dad about sex --- what he said and how she reacted was hysterical to me! (her head was exploding at one point --- truly well done in an animated film!) Anyway, the title speaks for itself --- it's kind of a love story dealing with her experiences with many of the high school guys --- she's after love and her loss of virginity, and they are after....well, you know what they are after, and quite eager to comply . And that's the raunchiness and the humor the film offers. I'd give it a 3.5 (just a bit scrambled in the depictions, but like I said, some were very funny, but very raunchy, too. No holds barred here.)
