Movie #2182 "Blonde" (netflix) boy, if this wasn't nominated for an academy award, I wouldn't have sat through the whole thing, and I don't recommend you doing it --- you have two hours and 47 mins you can better use to do anything else. Watching this film makes sitting through "The Whale" a walk in the park --- talk about exploitation.....about manipulation.........gratuitous sex scenes...........about fake information...... can you tell this is one film I didn't like at all, pretty much? Was there absolutely no happy time for her? no good relationship? nothing to put a smile on that wounded deer-in-headlights- victim's face? And I read a couple of articles that I tend to agree with....this came across as kind of an anti-abortion film, when there's no proof she even made that choice......and what a topic to come down so heavily on particularly at this time ---- it seemed really a bad choice all around. ......And it really seems disrespectful to make a film like this about such an iconic woman who died so long ago at such a young age and can't even defend herself ---- and no matter how good the actress may be (and this one does look like her and at times does a good scene) it doesn't save a bad film. I'd give it a 2 --- save yourself the time and don't bother.
