Movie #2185 " A Novel Romance" (Hallmark) I love movies that focus around my love of books, and this was one. It dealt with a popular novelist that uses a pen name to dodge being in the limelight, and a woman who is on his trail to find out the novelist's name for her newspaper job --- he has writer's block and of course, she helps with that, unknowingly..... the story and the conflict came across realistically here, and the two lovebird are are good and authentic, It took a while to get to the end, but it was worth it. I'd give it a 4. And Charles Dutton was in it!
"A NOVEL ROMANCE" 2015 1 hour and 26 minutes
A best-selling romance novelist moves to Portland to cure his writer's block and unknowingly falls in love with his biggest critic. When their true identities are revealed, they have to find the courage and take a leap of faith. (note from me --- this suggests a lame, overdone storyline here --- she isn't his biggest critic --- but she has been hurt by dating someone in the limelight before, so he wants to hold off revealing who he is to see where his relationship with her will go --- but he waits a bit too long --- well, that's the conflict- so it's more involved than the blurb suggests)
Director: Mark Griffiths
Writers: Beverly Nuke, Hanz Wasserburger
