Movie #2192 "Haulout" (theatre) this was the weirdest film of the bunch --- it never gave us information until the very end. We see a cabin way way out on water, and this guy is manning the cabin. We wonder what's going on. Overnight, the beach around his cabin is infiltrated with maybe 6,000 (give or take) walruses, all squished together. Soon it becomes obvious that there is damage being done to them as they crash into each other, and they start to die. Then, when it gets colder, they disappear, leaving some dead on the beach. At the end of the film, it tells us due to climate change, the walruses have lost their ice that they depend on for migration , etc. And that's why they die. It was 25 minutes of very little dialogue and information, but it had some powerful images --- it may win, but it wasn't my favorite. I wanted more information. I'd give it 3.8 out of 5.
