Movie #3005 "An Ostrich Told Me the World Is Fake & I Think I Believe It" (theatre) The next best one is right up their in quality , using stop motion while showing you just how much work goes into stop motion and it tells the story of this computer worker. He is not good at selling toasters (as his boss points out) and he starts to wonder why he is doing what he is doing. Just at that time, a visitor comes through the elevator --- an ostrich, who tells him everything is fake --- things start to happen to make the worker question the truth of anything..... esp. his job. What a wonderful idea --- so so so creative. I just wish the ending was wittier --- it would have cinched this category --- it still might, if the academy goes for creativity and technique over a more universal message like in the first one I blogged about. I really enjoyed this and would give it a 4. What a find!
