Movie #3006 "Ice Merchants" (Theatre) the next in line for animated films had a bit of a problem with tediousness --- that is, the film sets up that this father and son work at chipping ice --thus the title of the film -- they live attached to a cliff of ice and they parachute daily down with their ice chips to sell to the market there, and have to pulley up, day after day, they do the same thing, until we see climate change set in and pose problems for them. It's watching the one activity after another over and over again that is tedious --- but the irony at the end is worth it --- I don't want to give it away, in case you get to see this one. I liked it and would give it a 3.5 out of 5.
"ICE MERCHANTS" 14 mins 2022
Every day, a father and his son jump with a parachute from vertiginous cold house, attached to a cliff, to go to the village on the ground, far away where they sell the ice they produce daily.
