Movie #1463 ........................."Star Wars: The Last Jedi"

Movie #1463 "Star Wars:  The Last Jedi" --- this was a another good addition to the "Star Wars" tradition, and the first one written/directed  by someone else --- I think the director/writer is a keeper, at least if he continues what he started and continued) here in this film.  It looks good, it sounds good, the dialogue is marginal but what you'd expect from  the Star Wars franchise, and the young crew is good ---- the pacing is a bit slow, esp. in the first half, and part of it is Luke Skywalker's fault (not sure if it is the actor's fault or the character's fault).  Anyway, when the film goes to three simultaneous stories, to me the weakest and slowest was with Luke, who, I think, should have been doing more teaching and less brooding.   It was esp. nice to be able to see  the last film minutes of Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) on a big screen.  It was a nice job all around, and it should be nominated for one of the slots of best picture this year ---- come on.....esp. this year, when you don't have a ton of quality films to nominate!!!! I give this 4 stars out of 5.
