Movie #421 ........................."Tom Jones"

Movie #421 "Tom Jones" is the last movie on the list of best pics that I hadn't seen, and I can't say I enjoyed this one either. I'm not sure why except that the "outrageous comedy" they mention below, I didn't see at all. I might have chuckled a little. I guess I don't like movies that have womanizers as main characters. And I have to admit, I didn't quite see the end --- fell asleep. And really didn't ever want to go back to see the end. I can't believe this was the best of 1963, but then again, I guess we need movies like these to make us thankful for a year that brings us "Black Swan," "Social Network," "Toy Story 3" and "The King's Speech." But I am glad I saw this movie because I can now say that I have seen all the best pictures from 1927 to 2010. And I'm ready for another year of good films, but I can't say it has started out well.
