Movie #409 ........................."The Confession"

Movie #409 "The Confession" is the first movie we saw yesterday at the Sundance theatre that is Oscar nominated for live action short 2011. It started rather whimsical and funny --- it concerns a little boy (about 9?) riding his bike to school out in the country about to make his first communion and first confession. He finds he has nothing to say --- he goes down the list and he really has nothing. His friend, who is more devilish, decides to help this boy "sin" so they cook up a plan that goes terribly awry and just continues to descend spiraling into tragic consequences. The end is very powerful but very disturbing. I would rate this film a 4, and if you get a chance to see it, it's worth the time spent. Well filmed, the kids are effective, and the mood perfectly executed.
