Movie #420 "Cavalcade" is one of two movies left to watch to be able to say that I have watched all the best picture winners through the years since 1927. This one is a stinker and I have to admit that I never finished it. It was torture. I can see maybe why it won (1930s movies aren't any good?) with its epic story telling, but oh my goodness, there are sooooo many movies that are so much better than this one. I am also not a fan of Noel Coward --- a short comic scene that we always took out to do called "Actor's nightmare" makes fun of Noel Coward plays --- all talk and very melodramatic. I prefer that kind of show, making fun of Noel Coward, than having to sit through one of his shows being done badly. The best thing about this movie was..........wait, I really didn't see anything good about it, so enough said.
I gave this 1 star
