Movie #2086 ........................"Affairs of the Art" (movie theatre - oscar-nominated animated shorts 2022)

Movie #2086 "Affairs of the Art" (movie theatre-oscar-nominated animated shorts 2022) This one lacked focus --- it was all over the place ---- an attempt to be creative?  Maybe, but it didn't win points with me --- I value thinking outside the box, but theme should be clearer --- some universal truth needs to be examined --- what I got out of this?  Everyone involved in the arts, and their families, start out usually  as sociopaths?  I just used that label because   her son and sister both like to do experiments on  (and oftentimes damage) the animals of the world...... There's nudity in this one because every time we get lines of narration from the artist she's throwing her nude body on a big sheet of canvas or something or other.  I didn't like this one --- can you tell?  It was pretty annoying.  But there's more even worse coming up.  This one is 2.8 out of 5.

"AFFAIRS OF THE ART"       16 minutes         2021     from UK/Canada

How many obsessions can one family have?  In this film Beryl is the working-class heroine who not only reveals her own obsession with drawing but exposes the addictions of her eccentric family, which include pickling, screw threads and pet taxidermy.
