Movie #1257 "Debbie Macomber's Dashing Through the Snow" -- am I the only one in this world who never heard of Debbie Macomber? What a dumb title, to me. Why put the author IN the title? "Stephen King's Rose Madder"? " Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol" --- sure makes long (and I think dumb) titles! Anyway, the title is much ado about nothing --- Two characters who start out as strangers , who are driving together (how original) on an uninteresting trip where the big deal is that the she character picks up a dog and never puts it down, and the he character could be replaced by a stick and we wouldn't notice it! Someone must have noticed how boring the premise was, so they juxtaposed that story with some silly FBI agents following this dumb traveling duo so we think they are terrorists or something! Dumb, dumb, dumb..... So title should be: "Debbie Macomber's Dashing Through the Snow is a dumb movie!" And leave it at that. Waste of time, but then I was able to get some good ordering and reading on line while watching, so what the heck? Hope this saves you time if you intend to actually sit down and study some of these hallmark films. But it did have a happy ending, unlike the news every day lately. P.S. one thing I liked was the main character's name is Dash, named after Dash Hammett --- cool name!
