Movie #3167 ........................."Heaven Down Here" (Hallmark)

Movie #3167 "Heaven Down Here" (Hallmark)  This was a bit different from a normal stage-basiness-filled Hallmark Christmas Movie in that it was very talky.  It was more an "Indie" Hallmark xmas movie -- more interested in the talk and less on the snowball fights, etc.  The plot sets itself up for mostly dialogue, since it deals with a small group of people stranded in a restaurant on xmas eve, all having something in common -- they are - pretty lonely, so it works out for them to be stranded here so they can talk some things out and help each other -- and that's the xmas miracle here, and I enjoyed watching it.  This is the kind of movie that underlines the real meaning of Christmas to me.  And esp. in this world we have now, with so many people who can't get along with everyone because of pre-conceived notions of each other --- This film makes this message that much more important.  And the love story is very covert, and I appreciated that, too.  There's a twist at the end that might be too unbelievable to some, but I liked it --- it kind of cinched the ending for me, and I wholeheartedly recommend this one.  I'd score it 5.
