Movie #3420 "Wild Robot" (amazon prime) Well, Dave saw this on the plane to Arizona and said he got tearful in a couple of moments, so I HAD to see what all the emotion was about --- he's right. This was really good, probably the best of all the oscar- nominated animated feature --- And it's so topical right now because it deals with what happens in nature when a member of AI joins the environment. Roz, the robot lands mistakenly (like E.T.) in a forest and scares most of the creatures, but makes friends with a wolf and begins to parent a tiny bird named Brightbill. She shows how invaluable she is as nature takes its course and causes problems for the creatures. A fine comment on AI and climate change and how culturally diverse animals can get along --- so why can't we, right? I'd give this 4.5 (there was rather a long high point dealing with Roz going back to the mothership that I could have done without) Highly recommend.
