Movie #3411 ........................."Incident" (theatre)

Movie #3411 "Incident" (theatre)  this is the third oscar-nominated short documentary I watched , and I question why it is in this category.  It is a brutal shooting in Chicago of a black man by two police people (one is a female) because they think he is aiming a gun at them --- he had proof on him that he could carry a gun and it was holstered until they jostled it out of his holster.  At least that's what the web cams show --- and we just see it from webcams --- a film?  that is supposed to have film elements?  I didn't get why it was here and oscar-nominated.  It did show the dead man lying on the ground for a good 20 minutes, and mostly focused on getting the cops out of the way who shot him because the people in the are were yelling their protests at them.  I'd give it a 2.

"INCIDENT"      30 minutes (of this!!!)      2023

Incident reconstructs a 2018 police shooting in Chicago , reassembling the event and its immediate aftermath from a variety of sources, including surveillance, cCTV, dashboard, and body-worn cameras, as a synchronized split-screen montage.

Director:  Bill Morrison
