Movie #1568 ........................."A Simple Favor"
Movie #1568 "A Simple Favor" -- I really enjoyed this one! To tell you much about the plot is to do a disservice to this gem of a mystery --- well constructed plot, smarmy characters, stylish tone and a big sense of humor are the positives. And just when you think it is done.......it is a far cry from ending. I loved the costumes, too, and the set pieces are so fun to take in ---- everything is really pleasant to watch from Anna Kendrick, to Blake Lively, and then to Henry Gooding (the lead from "Crazy Rich Asians"). Even the two little kids were cute and well cast. Oh, it doesn't give huge words of advice, but does it need to? I thought it was just a nice "tease" --- it steals moments and sometimes scenes from other famous films, but it even gives credit to these just when you start to guess where the story is heading (like "He's gaslighting you," giving credit to the famous film "gaslight") I highly recommend it, and the people I saw it with enjoyed it as much! And two strong women leading the cast list of this one!
