Movie #1567 ........................."Finding Your Feet"

Movie #1567 "Finding Your Feet" -- what a wonderful film with a bunch of very capable older actors.  Yes, the film is about senior citizens suffering from grief (due to death or breakup of a long marriage or illness or being lonely and getting old and dismissed) but it has a host of themes one can identify with along the way, so it just doesn't have to be watched by us senior citizens, but it does speak to us! Imelda Staunton is a wonder and she does so well with all aspect of this character she portrays --- she has to play the whole gamut in this part, and she's amazing, esp. when she dances!  Okay, so that's the premise of the film --- and it's very inspiring to know that dance classes can make a little family out of its senior members, and instead of making fun of how badly these people dance, the film shows how competent and joyful they are when they get to dance together.  I really enjoyed this and recommend it --- it is very uplifting, even with the subject matter I mentioned above!

"FINDING YOUR FEET"

When 'Lady' Sandra Abbott discovers that her husband of forty years is having an affair with her best friend, she seeks refuge in London with her estranged, older sister, Bif. The two could not be more different - Sandra is a fish out of water next to her outspoken, serial dating, free-spirited sibling. But different is just what Sandra needs at the moment, and she reluctantly lets Bif drag her along to a community dance class, where she starts finding her feet.
