Movie #1085 "The Peanuts Movie" is a must see for most people. If you are an adult, you would remember nostalgically all the iconic actions in the film (lucy with the football, Sally's crush on Linus, Lucy's crush on Schroeder, etc.); if you are a child, they are new and cute moments that introduce them to these precious characters. The demographic for this movie, I think, were kids under 8, and adults who have enjoyed Peanuts cartoons or comics in the past. I'm afraid it doesn't have enough big laughs in it to sustain the teens or middle graders who are tainted by action-packed films that they are watching ! We saw this in a packed house, and it was fun to listen to the little kids gleefully laughing at character stuff (and this franchise is full of that) that we have come to love, but take for granted. In the hands of the director/writer (Shulz's offspring), it is treated preciously, and it should be. And nice transitions. There have been comments on the length, but this film like the comics is done in vignettes, so this is a movie you can buy and watch in bits and pieces so easily in the future. Good Grief, you need to see this if you want to revisit these wonderful characters, or if you want to introduce them to the kids who are in your life. A must see for many!
