Steve Jobs
Everyone knows about the products Steve Jobs designed, but few people really knew the man behind the technology. This revealing biopic focuses on a few key incidents and relationships to tell the story of a digital visionary who changed the world.
Movie #1080 "Steve Jobs" is pretty much what the above say, but there is a lot more, too. There's much antithesis in Mr. Jobs ---- wanting to do the right thing vs. wanting to be "The Person" who does the right thing, instead of one of many; wanting to pay for his daughter's education vs. being too stubborn to acknowledge it is his daughter, listening very carefully to his "work wife" (played by Kate Winslet) vs. being the man in power and bossing her around, and there are many more examples. Overall, the film points out just how smart he is vs. how mean he can be when he rubs that knowledge into others' heads. I gave it a 4 because it was very talky, and there were some discussions I didn't quite get because I didn't know enough about his life, but I found it quite good and recommend it. And I think Kate Winslet might get an oscar nomination because she's that good!
