MOVIE #2035........................."The Christmas Ring" (Hallmark)

Movie #2035 "The Christmas Ring" (Hallmark) I liked this one a lot because I got into the story of Pearl and Walter and the ring that had to be sold to build their village store.  It was more believable than I thought it would be.  Her reasons for doggedly following this story were given and believable, and the reasons for the guy being so quiet and hesitant when he found out she was a member of the press corps was also believable.  That they fall in love while working together on uncovering the mystery of the ring  was more interesting than building snowmen, etc. and decorating trees, etc.  However, they did sneak in xmas activities but just to help get an activity together that the late Pearl would have traditionally led.  And that was pretty believable, too.  I like the way it ended, and what  it said about true love.  I'd give this one a 4.5 and highly recommend it.  One of the better ones of 2020.

"THE CHRISTMAS RING" (Hallmark)   2020     1 hr and 24 minutes

  • Reporter Kendra Adams (Contractor) searches for the love story behind an antique engagement ring with the inscription, "My Christmas Love 1948." With the help of Michael (Alpay), the grandson of the ring's owner, they learn the legacy his grandparents left behind as well as the sacrifices they both made for what was most important - love.
