Movie #650 ......................."The Dark Knight Rises"

Movie #650 "The Dark Knight Rises" was a disturbing movie to me, who is not a big fan of these kinds of movies (comic book heroes/action films with so much violence and fighting). There were so many images that were unsettling that I can't begin to list them, but to give you an example, people going into a hospital or bank (or movie theatre?) and shooting rounds and rounds of bullets at innocent people. Bridges in what looks to be NYC being blown up --- I almost walked out a couple of times, but I just kept reminding myself, it's just a comic book hero movie, but we all know how much Christopher Nolan plays it for real. The film needed more humor, more lighter moments. and ohmygod we laughed at several moments at the high point ---- and we weren't supposed to -----I guess nothing I say would probably convince people one way or the other to see it, so I'm just saying to be prepared. I AM glad I made it through the whole saga of THIS Batman and I esp. liked Anne Hathaway in this one, but I think I'm done with the genre of films that has a final battle at the end at it is all brute force. Been there, done that, let's move on. Aren't there other ways to solve our problems and deal with the bad guy? I know, comic book characters, so that's why I don't need to see much more like this. I give it 3.4 stars out of 5 The Dark Knight Rises (2012) PG-13 Still grief-stricken over past losses, billionaire Bruce Wayne is conflicted about once again donning the cape of his lethal alter ego, Batman, but defends Gotham when it 's threatened by new foes such as the slinky Catwoman and the sinister Bane. Genre:Action & Adventure, Action Thrillers, Comic Book and Superhero Movies This movie is:Dark
