Movie #1103 ........................."Trumbo"

Movie #1103 "Trumbo" is an easy to follow historical account of the unfriendly witnesses during the McCarthy trials, with focus on one of the major ten, the great writer Dalton Trumbo, who won several academy awards, a few while he was blacklisted.  And what an interesting guy to focus on!  He was a character --- a person who didn't necessarily want to lose, so he covertly fought the great fight against the Mcarthyites!  A man who was much loved and supported by his family --- who showed his love for them even though he was  away from them a lot, working, feverishly writing all those screenplays day after day after day!  This is not an easy story, full of lots of ups and downs, and perhaps that's why the pacing seems off kilter at times......he is also a slow talker, so the film slows down so you can hear his beautiful "turns of the phrase" --- one of his friends complained as to why everything he said sounded like words on a monument!  The story deserved to be told, and I think they got it right and I recommend it.
