Movie #1102 ........................."A Perfect Day" (t.v.)

Movie #1102 "A Perfect Day"   is a Rob Lowe t.v. Christmas movie that I watched last night --I had bought it for a buck at a blockbuster closing, thinking it was based on the science fiction book by Ira Levin that I had loved ---- but no.  It ended up to be a weak Christmas movie.  I don't think characters in the film smiled at all ---- even at the end.  What a downer for a Christmas movie!   It starts with him losing his job and then he becomes a famous writer, but he can't even enjoy that very much because the film is mostly concerned with how his privacy is taken away with his new fame --- and how he becomes power hungry as he rises to the top.  But then, it takes another turn when his family can't stand him any more because he's changed.  Doesn't sound like Christmas fare?  I didn't think so either.  I would give it 2.8 out of 3 stars.  ie. a don't bother!
