Movie #3593 "Jane Austen's Period Drama" (theater) The very last one was very funny, and if you get a chance to watch any of them, this would be the one --- it might be a tad too light-hearted for the academy, but we enjoyed it quite a bit. The joke surrounds the word "period" --- when a young woman starts to bleed in front of her suitor (this is all Jane Austen time period, including costumes, location, dialogue, etc.) he thinks she is in dire help from a doctor. Pretty funny idea on a subject not talked about a lot, so it's esp. funny when the guy has to be taught from the ground up what is common knowledge to all women, and we rarely have to put it into words. I gave this a 4 out of 5 -- and just sat back and enjoyed this one.
