Movie #3578 ........................."Champions" (Peaccock)

Movie #3578 "Champions: (Peacock, Apple,  but also on cable occasionally)  Woody Harrelson , where have you been?  His career kind of mirrors the one the coach has in this film....i.e., a coach is good at what he does, but he isn't going anywhere, and he gets in one tough situation and the powers that be send him to be a coach for disabled adults.  Woody as an actor who has lately done some pretty good dramatic films , but then we don't see him for a long time, and he pops out in a movie like this; however, the movie is actually well done, and isn't disrespectful to these young adults, who all establish excellent quirky characters that we will remember long after the movie is over.  It has passion, and a minimal amount of basketball --- nice formula for me, and I'd give it a 4.

" CHAMPIONS"  2023   PG-13 2 hours, 4 mins

A former minor-league basketball coach is ordered by the court to manage a team of players with intellectual disabilities.  He soon realizes that despite his doubts, together, this team can go further than they ever imagined.
