Movie #2158 "Destination Wedding" (netflix) Now for something completely different...... when I saw that Keanu Reeves was in a rom-com with Winona Ryder, I had to check it out --- didn't expect much at all. This is kind of funny because it's like they aren't acting -- I kept thinking "What script"? They are both so, I don't know how to put it, laid back? smarmy? pretentious snoots? The vocabulary is very highbrow ---- their observations are consistently mean and inappropriate --- to each other and wow! when they attack others..... there's lots of negativity --- yep, that's it --- they are both HUGE NAYESAYERS --- so you can either turn it off, or keep watching to see just how bad it gets, and where it goes from there...........that's what I chose. Am I the better for it? I doubt it, but some people will welcome this film because they don't like Hallmark stuff, so this is it! The Real Stuff! People without any filter going to a wedding they both don't want to be at --- making snide comments about this one's personality, or the fatness of another....inappropriate right and left --- I laughed , but it was a laugh like: I- can't -believe- they -said- that! kind of laugh. I'd give it a 3 --- not my kind of love story, but a lot of people's , for sure.
