Movie #1795........................."Christmas Reservations"

Movie #1795 "Christmas Reservations" was actually a funny Christmas movie --- not an effort to be funny, but actually really amusing.  The characters are funny, the dialogue is quick and humorous, and the situations are cute.  Of course, in comparison to Hallmark movies, the cast all the way through is competent and upper tier, and the scenes vary a tad from the gratuitous cookie bake, turning on of the  tree lights, snowball throwing, etc.  But it still is very familiar to those of us who see many of these Christmas movies at this time of the year.  Yes, it happens in a ski lodge, but a lodge that offers a trivia game, parties with Indian Dancing, a boy who runs to help a young girl and her mother with their luggage, but then when the mother gives him a tip, everyone is  surprised because he didn't work at the lodge --- he was just helping.  There's a lot of variety  --- and I found the basic premise very universal --- it's a what if?  what if when you were younger, "the one" got away --- what happens when you have the change to meet up with that person again?  This film investigates that and in a humorous way with variety, and I recommend it.  4.5 out of 5.
