Movie #1398 ........................."Searching for Wives" (13 mins)

Movie #1398 "Searching for Wives" won best documentary, and it was kind of goofy.  "Through the use of a single photograph, Partha, a foreign worker from South India embarks on a mission to find a wife before his 32nd birthday.  With the help from a photo studio and his parents, "Searching for wives" documents the proceedings of an arranged marriage that many men and women are accustomed to like Partha, and finds the romance that lies within."  The audience gets some info on how this culture arranges many of their marriages, but we also get to laugh along because Partha is somewhat of a "card."  This was entertaining.  I'd give it 3.8 out of 5 stars.
