Movie #3140 "Joyeux Noel" (Hallmark) There's a foreign language film with the same title is soooooooo sooo much better -- about a ceasefire in December 1914 (true story) , unofficial Christmas truce on the Western Front that allowed soldiers from opposing sides to gain insight into each other's way of life by celebrating the holiday. Greta film! This one? not so great. The story the two journalists in this film are looking for turns out to not go anywhere; so the film depends on these two very awkward, stoic, stick- like actors/people to fall in love in order for the magic of the xmas market to work --- the little french girl and the gnomes are the best part of the movie. 2.8.
