Movie #1914 .,........................"Hampstead"

Movie #1914 "Hampstead" --  streamable on HBO on demand --- I had mixed feelings about this film --- I liked the leads (Keaton and Gleeson), and the scenery was beautiful, but I wasn't crazy about the story.  I liked what he stood for ---- freedom to live how he wants to  --- he built a shack on what was non designated land but now a corporation wants to build condos on it so they want to move him off --- and he puts up a fight --- and I applaud that, but he was so reticent to explain his feelings that it became boring for Keaton to try to get to know him better --- their meet ups were up and down like a rollercoaster and so the script came across a bit manipulative --- She is unsure where her life is going, but it seems clearer to the audience than to her and her phony, shallow "friends" she has.  But the ending was satisfactory, and I enjoyed that.  I would give this a 3.8 out of 5.  Somewhat recommend, if you have patience to see them work out their problems in a slow manner.
