"Movie #382 "Blue Valentine" --- in the past week, I have seen three movies in a row that I would rate 4.5, so it's been amazing. Here's the first one. Boy, I thought the acting was spectacular in this one --- But, then, I like both of these young actors A LOT! I don't think they make many wrong decisions, and this one was a great fit for them. We've seen the story before --- how people fall out of love---- but not with acting this good, and not with the story's present and past juxtaposed to each other --- that's the gimmick and it's done really well! And stay for the credits --- the pics are heartbreaking and effective.
I give it 4.5
