Movie #1051 ........................."5 Minutes of Heaven"

Movie #1051 "5 Minutes of Heaven" --- continuing my search for good Irish films, I came across this one , and it was just okay.  Interesting premise ---- young man from Belfast shoots the brother of this younger boy because of catholics vs. protestant "troubles" and now a journalist thinks it would be good to put the two together for an interview.  Well, guess what happens?  Let's just say, it isn't pretty.  The two actors redeem the slow plodding of the plot --- and once again, like "Bloody Sunday" the high point is good, but it's the getting there that is too draining.

Five Minutes of Heaven2009R89 mins    I'd give it 3 stars out of 5
From acclaimed director Oliver Hirschbiegel and starring Liam Neeson and James Nesbitt, Five Minutes of Heaven is a story inspired by two extraordinary lives, which explores the challenges of coming to terms with Northern Ireland's troubled past.
