Movie #2198 "A Bride for Christmas" (Hallmark) I watched part of this film before, but I turned it off because I just thought the bride- to- be was just so shallow I wouldn't make it through the whole movie. Well ,that was a mistake because the guy in the film is one of my favorites Andrew Walker. And he plays a smarmy, snotty committed bachelor who makes a bet that he gets this girl to agree to marry him before the end of the year, which is only about a couple weeks. What he doesn't know is this is a runaway bride. She has walked to the altar three times and run away from it. So the bottom line is that this film is a combination of runaway bride, how to lose a Guy in 50 days, and a lesser known film that Doris Day and rock Hudson did where she was an architect and he hired her to fix up his place just so he could bed her down. But I like all three of those movies, and so I enjoy the ride here. The bride somewhat grew on me, and there were some humorous spots along the way that made this film a 4.5 to me. I recommend it.
