Movie #2190 "Quiet Place II" (Redbox) - I just reread my blog on "Quiet Place," and I'm about to write ditto ---- ditto to it be very very tense, and ditto to it relying on just sounds and very little dialogue, and ditto because of relying just on sound, it has to be a very creative film in getting across the story. However, a sequel should bring more to the table --- and like the first one, I didn't think it answered enough questions that I had while watching it. Once again, it could be my fault, but the person I watched it with agreed with me --- so I am thinking it isn't just me. There just wasn't enough info --- and I again dislike that guns get them out of most predicaments --- now, granted, there is another device they use, and that is smart, but still guns blow off heads of the creatures and allow people to live "happily" every after (with a lot of PTSD, I am guessing) Oh, those poor kids that were put through the wringer making this film! I give it 3.5 out of 5 --- not as good as the first one, to me. (PS -- a good 1/2 hour is redoing the first one in the opening) One thing I most enjoyed: the challenge of keeping a baby silent through this whole ordeal! Wow!
"QUIET PLACE II" 2020 PG-13 1 hour and 37 mins 3.5 out of 5
Following the events at home, the Abbott family now face the terrors of the outside world. Forced to venture into the unknown, they realize the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats lurking beyond the sand path.
