Movie #2178 ........................."My Life As Zucchini (animated, dvd)

Movie #2178 "My Life As Zucchini (animated, dvd)  I had been wanting to view this movie since it was nominated for an academy award in 2016, and since it was a bit short, we put it together with something else, and this was liked by the kids that were in my audience, and the adults really liked it .  Disclaimer:  the opening (where his mother dies) is a bit harsh/cold (she is an alcoholic and an accident happens that involves Zucchini )--- so if you are worried about your child watching that part, just start it a few minutes into the movie (maybe 5?)  the rest is so much worth watching --- it is beautifully told, and leaves a great impression of what it is like to live in a foster home ---- a subject not handled in other animated films, that I can remember.  I'd give this a 5 out of 5 and highly recommend it. (P.S.  and make sure you watch Zucchini interviewed at the end of the film , after the credits)
