Movie #1377 ........................."Home Again"

Movie #1377 "Home Again" was a cute film, even though rotten tomatoes gave it in the 30 percentile (audiences are kinder and give it 60 + percent).  It's got kind of a way out story --- and the trailer doesn't make it clear so here goes (not giving anything away, though).  Reese Witherspoon newly estranged from hubby (Michael Sheehan) takes her two daughters back to the family residence in LA, film capital of the world.  Enter, three young guys, each quirky in his own way, trying to pitch their new film (one is the director, one the writer and the other the actor) but down on their luck in the money department.  So when reese offers them a short stay at her guest house they grab it.  The rest you will have to see the movie to get, but because all the actor are really capable, the romantic comedy works out pretty well --- hard to believe in some parts, but it is, indeed, watchable and cute and I do recommend it, esp if you like romantic comedies.  I went to see it to support Nancy Myers (the producer of this film, the director of films like "It's Complicated" and "Somethin's Gotta Give."  Her daughter is a new director here, but I think we will see more films from her in the future.  3.5 out of 5 stars.
