Movie #649 ........................."The Waiting Room"

Movie #649 "The Waiting Room" was slow going through most of the film --- some interesting characters, but there were so many scenes that I wondered, "Now why are they showing this scene"? that I can't count. A couple of times I was going to turn it off, but then the characters did something that pulled me in again. I'm glad I saw the end because it was quite satisfactory and the reason I would give it the 3.4 and not just a 3 --- it was a "Sleepless in Seattle" cute ending for a love story. So I guess I'm glad I watched, but you don't have to. Direction could be better. 3.4 out of 5 stars The Waiting Room (2007) NR Single mom Anna (Anne-Marie Duff) breaks off a self-destructive affair with her friend's husband (Rupert Graves) when she meets the man of her dreams -- Stephen (Ralf Little), a handsome nursing home orderly -- in a chance encounter at a train station. The feeling is mutual for Stephen, who loses interest in his tepid relationship with Fiona (Christine Bottomley) when Anna comes into the picture. Roger Goldby directs this romance set in London.
