Movie #3404 ........................."'A Lien" (theatre)

Movie #3404 "A Lien" (theatre)  I saw the Live Action Shorts that are oscar-nominated this year , and this was tops for me  -- very powerful, and if you want to see it, I will post the link below (the powers that be may take it off, but I would like as many people as possible to see it  - it's about immigration) Note:  if the link is removed, contact me so I can send it to you, if it is still available.  Anyway,  the opening is tense -- a husband/wife/child are getting ready  to go to immigration offices where he has an interview (he is married to an American  citizen and he is trying to do the paperwork for his citizenship) -- once they step into the office and see him (and label him possible muslin/dangerous) all hell breaks loose -- hand held camera adds, overlapping dialogue, sporadic editing all add to the chaos --- I had to turn away I was so disturbed by how the whole family  was treated --- see what you think -- The rest of the films were very good, but didn't pull me in like this one.  I would give this a 5, but if you get a chance to see all five of the live action, this looks to be like the event that has the best offerings.

"A LIEN"      2023     15 minutes
