Movie #1500 "On Body and Soul" is one of the Oscar nominated Foreign Language Films for 2018, and I found it very interesting. But it isn't for everyone......the pacing is very slow, and the subject matter doesn't lend itself to a lot of action. The story centers on two people who work at some kind of factory that kills cows (in Hungary) and they are both very quiet, painfully shy and lonesome people who find each other intriguing --- they discover their dreams are connected, and the story throws some conflict their way, but it's all very quiet and very quirky. This is what we would consider an indie film (in spirit and action), and it would bore many people, but I have to say, I really liked the way the film ended....
