Movie #610 ........................."Apartamento ad Atene" (Apartment in Athens)

Movie #610 "Apartment in Athens" won the best world cinema picture award at the Phoenix Film Festival 2012, and we saw it last night and found it quite good. During the Nazi occupation of Greece, a German officer establishes himself in the house of an Athenian family, totally disrupting their life. Based on the novel "Apartment in Athens" written in 1945 by G. Wescott. The mood is tense throughout, and the actors all embody their characters. It isn't on the Netflix list yet, but if it ever gets there, this might be one you want to see. I've seen almost everything on the Holocaust, and this was a new story for me. I'd rate it 4 out of 5.
